Shoes for Fall

The weather is starting to take a turn. It was hot and sunny on Saturday and then we had a crazy wind/rain storm over night, then Sunday was all over the place. It made for a very wild weekend full of sweaters, shorts, sunglasses and slickers ; )

This made Fall all too real, so of course I thought about new Fall shoes.....

Bottle Cap Portrait

Artist Mary Ellen Croteau took probably a billion bottle caps and made a bigger than life size portrait of herself. By slipping smaller caps into larger ones she was able to create a new shade of color, what a beautiful discovery.

Summerhouse in Brandenburg

This weekend / Summerhouse on Lake Scharmützel was recently awarded the German Timber Construction Award. Architect Doris Schäffler designed the retreat to provide maximum contrast to the owners downtown Berlin urban life.
