James Gauers' weekend home

The author of The New American Dream: Living Well in Small Homes, James Gauer built his 1,800- square-foot weekend home in the Litchfield hills of NW Connecticut. This well proportioned home with it's smooth metal roof and clean white paint is simple but warm and airy. I would have to say it is pretty much my dream farm house in the country.
